Key West is small lurid place that represents the
most southern spot of the US. Keys is a group of islands interconnected
with bridges so you can reach the very spot with the car, plane
or a boat. It is an amazing fact that most Americans have no idea
that you can come here with a car.
This place is protected by the Ministry of Culture since it has
great significance to the American history. Namely, president Truman
brought some very important decisions here, “while every cab and
shuttle bus driver will stop in front of his house and mention it.
Key West is favourite resort of American presidents still today.
Even though there is nothing much to see, but for the purpose of
preserving the delights of American history there are special laws
prescribing construction of houses in the area. It must not differ
from other houses, i.e. wooden, white or grey colour houses are
allowed. The place itself looks as a in a movie set, everything
seems too artificial.

VANCOUVER
Vancouver is situated on the Vancouver Island in
British Columbia. The first immigrants could not have chosen a better
place to settle. Snow capped mountains are on one side and the skiing
season lasts throuthout the entire year. Long sandy beaches are
on the other side, full of tourists. Passenger and cargo ships are
Vancouver's everyday life. Because of it's natural beauty, the port
of Vancouver is one of the main ports in North America.
Vancouver is huge: population, 2 million. There are shops a-plenty
with very nice sales people, lovely stylish restaurants, top notch
hotels, lounge clubs that are open during the day, perfect places
to drink your coffee with "Deep House" as a musical curtain
in the background, and China town, the largest Chinese community
in North America. A place that mixes diverse scents of the far east.
There are young people where ever you look. I am really thrilled
with it! No wonder Vancouver is declared, for the third year, an
exquisite town with the best imaginable living conditions on Earth!
Now I understand why Canadians dislike being mistaken for Americans.
Although neighbors, Canada has its own life philosophy, that perfectly
fits my lifestyle. One can tell, not only by the architecture, but
everything one lays one's eyes on, that this town was built pursuant
to a strict plan.

MIAMI
If you are lucky enough to fly above Miami on a
sunny day, you may grasp a splendid view. The town is huge. You
may notice downtown on one side, with high buildings, port full
of large ships. On the other side there are villas and pool houses,
where lives the enitre creme de la creme of Florida. We all know
that retired people love to spend the rest of their lives in this
mild tropic climath, and much slower life than in the north of United
States. But it happens thanks to the vicinity of neighbours such
as Mexico, Puerto Rico, Caribbean, where people live a slow carefree
life, that pleases me personally very much. International airport
is very near to the complex of hotels, and if you still don't know
where to stay, feel free to pick one since they provide service
of decent quality, with free access to fast Internet connection
in the most of them.
The business center itself, the downtown, consists of business skyscrapers,
parking lots, stores of this and that, and you may meet people from
all over the world. It is interesting that in Miami knowledge of
Spanish may help you more than knowledge of English language, we
all know why. Let me give you a piece of technical advice. Do not
get fulled with prices of various technical goods in the downtown.
You have dozens of stores of a kind outside of the center, with
suspicious quality merchandise. Avoid to shop tech goods here. Look
for specialized stores such as Best buy or Target. As a traveler
you will surely want to check your electronic mail, which won't
be any problem at all. In downtown there are several Internet caffe
bars. Several hundred meters from the business part of town there
is Bayside. Right next to the coast you have a shopping centar,
where you can relay a little bit after you run away from „concrete“
part of the Miami. Variety of stores, shops, tech goods to fine
clothes, several restaurants by the seaside with the view to expensive
yachts will surely please you. However, there is not much choice
since it is an American lifestyle.

ALASKA
Alaska is the most modern, 49th American state.
Beautiful. I believe that Russians regret still today to have sold
it for 7.2 mil. Dollars. Notwithstanding the fact that it is the
biggest state, it is the least inhabited. The entire population,
some 650 thousand souls, is situated nearby the coast. On of the
most famous is Juneau, which is the capital, Anchorage, Skagway,
Sitka, Ketchikan. Most people are prejudicial about Alaska imaging
it as the place of eternal winter and ice. Just the opposite! At
the coastline, which is the most inhabited, the temperature never
falls under -10, while summer temperatures vary within range 30
-33 degrees. Alaska and Hawaii are particular states since their
way of living is so different than in the rest of the USA. The coast
of Alaska originates from smelting glaciers. Vast pieces of ice
have practically determined the lifestyle so people live by those
rules. Similar feature as in the North Europe signifies this area,
fiords, as the result of smelting glaciers. Boat voyage through
the fiords, cadre surrounded with white top mountains wakes up the
freshness and great respect for the nature thanks to grandiosity
of its creations. You may conclude that natural beauties and original
pureness of this part of the world are the bait that attracts tourists
from all over the world. Two basic means of transport in this country
are with the ship and by plane. Most places are on islands, while
total length of railway tracks amounts 776 km. The largest migration
of population to Alaska was thanks to gold in the period of “golden
fever”, to be more precise in 1898. People from all over the world
headed to the „promised land” where clumps of gold are nut-sized
and wait for someone to dig them up. Naturally, that was so not
true. Gold „mine” was some 300 kilometres up north, in the Canadian
part of Alaska through steep mountains and freezing inland winter.
Only few were successful, and there was not that much gold ad the
rumours were telling.

OAHU - HONOLULU
The name itself invites to romance... this is a
miracle town! Beautiful, spacious, built right according to the
plan, with major influence of Japan. Honolulu id the capital of
the Hawaiian archipelago, situated oin the Oaho island which is
the place people relate with the Hawaii the most. Number of things
to see here. My recommendation is to go to the nearest rent-a-car
and rent a car for 25 $/12 h, what is actually super price. This
is the best way to get to know the place. What is this all about???
Great Waikiki beach is right here, along which luxurious hotels
are built. Volcano crater is also around beiung of course the biggest
touristic attraction. You should not miss the visit to the Pearl
Harbour, where entire part above the sunken war ship Arizona is
made as a memorial center. Do not expect anything spectacular because
you won't find it. Several propellers, part of the engine, granates,
on the surface you may still see the greasy taint leaking out of
the vessel. But if you really want to see something interesting,
visit the submarine right next to the memorial center. You may visit
it thoroughlky and make plenty of interesting photographs.

MAUI
This is probably the most popular island in the
Hawaiian archipelago. Most people get reminded of surfing, waves,
beach activities. It is true. It would be unimaginable here to live
without surfing, it is a part of the Hawaiian lifestyle. If you
wish to check out the entire island, it is the best to check for
the excursion that lasts 9 hours. First destination is the mountain
Haleakala, some 3,500 meters above Maui which is the main tourist
attraction as well.
While you go up there, you realize they give you a ride through
the clouds, even the weather changes several times on the way up.
And when you come to the top, huh what a breathtaking scene! You
are mostly above clouds. Just like looking through the airplane
window… Amazing feeling! There is a small centre at the edge of
the silent volcano wherefrom there is a beautiful view to a part
of the crater and the clouds getting inside of it, and you are above
all that! Unexplainable feeling. You must try it! It is very difficult
to pas the thrill you feel with words now, so definitely check out
the picture gallery… The highest observatory in the world is also
here, extremely helpful to the human civilization in gaining new
cognitions about the universe.
